Every year FightRise.com and the FightRise Discord ( http://fightrise.com/discord ) fundraises for a charitable cause. We’ve raised over $10k to date and we’re hoping for another great season of giving from this wonderful fighting game community! We’re again partnering with The Raiden Science Foundation, an organization researching cures for rare diseases.
For our charity stream on Dec 13th at 7pm EST, legendary community members Ultra David and Tong of TNS fame will be going up against each other in a East vs West grudge match! Two teams of 7 will be fighting in a format we’re calling Crossup Basebrawl. It’s a unique meld of classic baseball with sweaty and exciting Street Fighter 6 matches. You have to see it to believe it but the teams are full of killers from the FightRise community and ready to represent their coasts! David and Tong will be commentating all the action and making some key decisions! Don’t miss it! Dec 13th, 7pm EST.
The Raiden Science Foundation was created to help fund research into UBA5, a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the nervous system and severely raises the chance of young lives being lost in just their first few years after birth. The foundation is named after Raiden Pham, an incredible 5 year old, fighting to live a normal life with this disease and hoping that one day soon this debilitating condition can be cured. His father Tommy Pham is a member of this fighting game community and incredibly grateful for all the support they have received.
